Quadra Island Canoe Clinic - Instruction 101

An introductory single day (approx 6 hours) course that teaches canoeing basics.

You'll learn:
the art of canoe paddling
how to equip yourself
required gear for safe paddling
safe entry and exit techniques
carrying and portaging methods
paddling techniques

Who should take this one day course?

1/ Everyone interested in canoeing.
2/ Those that are new to the sport.
3/ People who have signed up for a multi-day trip (and or course,) and would like to be prepared with advance knowledge so they may feel more comfortable and confident on their trip.
4/Anyone who plans on renting canoes and heading out on their own.
