Here are some of the professional guides and staff. Jim MartinExpeditions Director - Founding Partner Jim is one of the founders of Out For Adventure Wilderness Tours. He spends as much time as he can guiding groups on various adventures from Algonquin Park and the Halliburton Highlands to the West Coast of British Columbia because it's what he loves the most. Jim has been paddling a canoe since he was old enough to walk and migrated to sea kayaking later on. OFA Guide 5 Years Mack is a local Quadra Island guy. He has virtually spent his entire life here on Quadra exploring and learning the intimate details of land and sea. His forte' is an eye for details and organization which guests will experience in the trips Mack works on. Another old hand here at OFA, Mack is a certified guide with loads of experience to draw from. Clients love Mack and the way he guides his trips and we are proud to have him back for his fifth year as part of our team. Dan MartinOFA Base Crew Dan is a happy go lucky member of the OFA family that works at the Quadra Island base preparing and detailing trips before they leave and when they return. Helping with gear and rentals Dan is not only part of the team but a member of the family.. John
BestfatherOFA Guide 7 Years John is natural leader and excellent guide. He's the type of guide that new guides use as a goal to attain. John has a great sense of humour, a calm demeanour and plenty of guiding knowledge. He spends his spare time mountain biking, hiking, paddling, and climbing. A lover of music, he has been known to somehow fit a guitar into a kayak to entertain around the campfire. In the off season John resides in the Canadian Rockies dog sledding and ice climbing. We are pleased to have John as part of the team. Natasha KyleAssistant Office Manager 3 Years Natasha or "Tash" is our Quadra Island Assistant Office Manager. It is her expertise that helps organize and detail trips that run from our BC operation. Tash is usually seen in the shop almost every day overseeing trip departures, organizing guide trip paperwork and planning day operations. Elizabeth MartinReservations - Decade To anyone who has booked a trip with OFA, Elizabeth hardly needs introduction. Elizabeth is the one that answers questions and helps clients sort and plan their vacations. She handles the head office details of Out For Adventure Wilderness Tours Ltd. With many years experience in business and management, Elizabeth has been involved with the tourism industry well over a decade. Tup MeesupwatanaOFA Guide Tup is originally from Thailand and has traveled to many places around the world. He brings his experience from working in places like New Zealand, Fiji, Chile and Croatia. He holds a diploma in Adventure Tourism and a Bachelor in Tourism Management Major Adventure Studies. He obsesses with fishing, loves to cook and is very much at home in the kitchen with several culinary courses completed with certificates. Tup's previous clients rave about his guiding skills. Kalem KyleBase Crew / OFA Guide Kalem oversees Prep and Detailing operations at our Quadra Island base. Kalem brings a Hospitalities Industry background and enthusiasm for life to the operation ensuring things run smoothly and on time. Kalem is happy and quick with a smile, confident and a solid part of our team for two years running. Lindsay RobinsonOFA Guide Lindsay is very passionate about exploring the outdoors and environment that surrounds us all. She has lived in and traveled to, many places around the world including: New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, St. Lucia, Tanzania, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, The Bahamas, Barbados, Mexico, The Dominican and Canada. Robinson holds a diploma in Eco-Tourism Management and has experience guiding in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Jessica RoyOFA Guide Jessica has extensive experience kayaking with whales in both the Mer et Monde, Quebec and with us in British Columbia. She has guided in Australia's Cape Tribulation, worked at Cat Skiing operations and has a genuine and enthusiastic love for our natural environment.
