Out For Adventure is a small group of dedicated Outdoor Professionals that are committed to sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the wilderness.
Out For Adventure strives to explore the most interesting, and often less known, areas of the destinations we offer making your trip as unique as possible. We also believe that camp cuisine should not be blasé, but rather just the opposite. We pride ourselves in being able to offer hearty elegant dishes that tantalize the pallet, and hopefully bring you into a whole new world of camping food. We are pleased to help with any special dietary needs you may have. Vegetarian dishes are commonly requested and are not a problem for us to accommodate. Give us a call to discuss any concerns you may have. Quite simply, we want to provide our clients with the best experience possible. With a genuine love for the outdoors, we have been creating rewarding and memorable trips for clients just like you, with great success for many years now. Our Roots OFA CEO and Expedition Director Jim Martin began offering trips in the summer of 1994. With a small fleet of canoes and a bounding desire to share his excitement and love of all things natural to others. Over the past 16 years he has strived to perfect the art of running a leading edge, successful adventure tourism business and in doing so, has developed a business model that is unique, sustainable and enjoyable with the highest regard for the environment and those in it. | In the beginning - guiding multi-day trips, Explorer Day Trips and giving paddling lessons Martin realized that developing the best adventure vacations was not a goal to be attained, but more a mantra, or global belief that should steer the company to continually evolve and improve its trips. A guiding compass to ensure that OFA would never sit back with a successful trip but to always lean forward and push for excellence. It is the understanding that excellence is not a goal but a way of doing business that allows each member of the OFA team to develop and improve our products, ideas and plans.
The incredible success that Out For Adventure has experienced has not been at the hands of one or two people but a collaborative effort of many professional guides, base crew and business associates that have willingly and enthusiastically contributed to it. Guides are front-line people and as such their input has helped tremendously creating a feedback loop to help trips run smoother. Suppliers and business partners are also considered an integral part of OFA's business success with open communication between companies to developed ways to interact better and perfect the products we offer. This benefits all companies involved and although some of them were new to the process, all partner companies have contributed ideas and concepts that help evolve the business model. Many changes have been small, like changing a pickup time to improve our transportation experience or as simple as swapping a menu's ingredient for better environmental impact. Although many of these small and some not so small changes could be dismissed as insignificant in of themselves, Out For Adventure has learned that many small changes add up to a masterful experience for our clients. the reward is in the smiles. |
