It's coastline is virtually endless as it winds its way in and out of bays that encourage exploration and offers some of the best shore line camping sites in the province, many of which are smooth granite outcrops that gradually slope into the water. Other sites are long soft sandy beaches that soak up the afternoon sun. Days are spent paddling, exploring, learning and relaxing while evenings are filled with delicious meals and on most nights, endless star gazing.

Spring Fresh
Spring time is a wonderful time of year for paddling in Ontario. Although the water is very cold, generally we are out on these spring fresh trips before the bugs fly and heat gets too much. We enjoy no crowds, no bugs and choice of campsites.
Wildlife Breeding Season
This is a very important point. Spring is the time when wildlife mates, nests. New life begins in both flora and fauna and it's very exciting to see the signs while out paddling. Because the undergrowth has yet to fill in around the forest you'll find you have the potential to see far more activity then later in the summer when things have greened up and grown over. As far as wildlife activity goes this is the time of year to get out there and see what's happening.
