Rebecca Spit Provincial Park, Quadra Island
This tour begins at Rebecca Spit, on the East side of Quadra Island. Beautiful Rebecca Spit is surrounded by water on both sides with the spectacular Coast Mountains of British Columbia in full view. One side is a sandy beach, popular with the locals and tourists for swimming, and the other is a rocky shoreline, where you will always see a beachcomber searching for treasures. We launch our sea kayaks on the beach, immediately treated to starfish seen in clear waters. Our paddle takes us to the Breton Islands, where we pause to watch the seals basking in the sun. The Breton Islands are a Mecca for seals and Bald Eagles. We will stop for a delicious lunch and revel in the wonders that the ocean and nature beholds. Eventually, reluctantly, we return our kayaks to Rebecca Spit, having enjoyed a day not to be forgotten.
