Located in a tiny picturesque cove that has served as the terminus for the telegraph line, mill and more since the early 1900s. Telegraph Cove is made up of a rustic boardwalk speckled with a few small shops and a collection of historic buildings exuding an air of nostalgia that begs rediscovery. Robson Bight Ecological Reserve The Robson Bight is located in Johnstone Strait on the Vancouver Island shore. Johnstone Strait is a relatively narrow passage that attracts Killer Whales to its rich waters each summer making it the best place to view Orcas in the world! The Bight is an Ecological Reserve for the whales and within its boundaries are the famous rubbing beaches. The resident Killer Whales make regular visits to the pebbly beaches to rub and roll themselves on. The beaches are inaccessible to the general public. The Pure Orca adventure takes you a remote beach beside the reserve where we hike to a hidden waterfall and, if all goes well, see Orca whales heading into the reserve.
