Canoe and Sea Kayak Rental Policy for British Columbia Base

Rental Cancelation Policy

Rental Deposit: 50%

Tax: 12% HST on all rentals

Kayak/Canoe Cancellation Policy:

• 30 days or more: Deposit is not refundable. 
• 29 - 15 days: 75% of the total rental cost, minimum $20 cancellation fee per kayak plus tax
• 14 days or less: No refunds

Camping equipment rentals are subject to the following cancellation policy:
24 hours or more notice: full refund 
Less than 24 hours notice: a 50% fee will be retained

Cancellations are required in writing by email or mail to avoid confusion.

Previous experience of kayaking and ability to perform a self rescue is required.

Dry Land Rescue Clinic: $20

Rentals include delivery and pick up of kayaks to Rebecca Spit Provincial Park on Quadra Island if required. If picking up the boats at our shop we will supply straps and foam blocks.

There is no refund for early rental returns.

Pick up time for rentals is 9:00 am and return time is 5:00 pm unless otherwise pre-arranged.

Liability waivers must be signed.

Must be a minimum of 19 years to rent kayaks.

A damage deposit of $300 per boat is required. This is accepted as pre-authorization on a credit card, or as a cash deposit.
